Radiofrequency lifting with Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling and radio frequency (RF) energy. It uses tiny needles to deliver radio frequency energy deep into the skin, creating micro-injuries that trigger the body’s natural healing response and encourage the production of new collagen and elastin for a tighter and remodeled skin.
The procedure has a wide range of benefits.
-
- improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles;
- tightens loose skin
- smoothes rough or uneven skin texture
- treats acne scars
- helps fade stretch marks, and even reduces fat deposits.
It can be used on all skin tones, which means it’s a safe option for people with darker skin tones. Morpheus8 can be applied anywhere on the body, and especially suitable for the face, jawline and neck, including the abdomen, buttocks and thighs.

How does Morpheus8 work?
Morpheus8 combines microneedling and radio frequency energy using needles to pierce the skin. It’s called collagen-induction therapy because the repeated puncturing of the skin causes microtraumas that initiate a cascade to restore collagen production in the skin.
It covers both the dermis and the epidermis (the lower and upper layers of the skin), so deep remodeling and repair is visible. Microneedling (RF) delivers electrical energy that causes tissue coagulation, meaning there is exfoliation and remodeling of collagen, improving skin texture and tone while tightening it.
Your skin continues to improve over the next three months as skin cells multiply and new collagen develops.
How is it administered?
It begins by covering the treated area with a numbing cream for about 15-20 minutes. If your doctor plans to use a higher device setting, local anesthesia may be required.
What sets the Morpheus8 apart from similar devices is that the depth of RF heat delivered by its microneedles can be adjusted to reach different depths of the dermal layers (e.g. superficial, intermediate, deep) based on your specific skin problems.
The device is then placed on your skin, allowing the needles to penetrate beneath the surface and deliver the radio frequency energy.
Post-Treatment
There is redness and slight swelling, which disappears in about 3 days. Antibacterial and moisturizing products must be used. Products with growth factors, peptides, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and retinol, as well as exfoliating cleansers and enzyme masks, are recommended until your skin heals. Also, sun exposure is prohibited for the next 3 to 4 weeks. It is mandatory to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF over 50 when you are outside to avoid post-procedure hyperpigmentation. A sunscreen containing titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide will be gentler on your skin.
Your dermatologist will prescribe a moisturizing care routine that is suitable for you as an aftercare.
How soon will you notice the results of Morpheus8?
